Rising thousands of feet above the usually smoggy San Gabriel Valley, the San Gabriel Mountains is a retreat of sorts for the millions of residents of Los Angeles County. With it's cleaner air and rugged terrain, the San Gabriel Mountains are a nature-lover's home away from home. The most famous icon of the Angeles National Forest is Mount San Antonio aka. Mount Baldy. Perhaps best known for being the snowy mountain postcard scenic background as seen from Downtown L.A.
