While growing up, my family used to have an annual picnic at Puddingstone Lake or at the Santa Fe Dam Recreational Area. We haven't had a gathering here since my dad was diagnosed with Parkinson's Disease in the mid-90's but the memories haven't faded. As an adult, I can now go back and re-discover the beauty of my old stomping grounds that is so easily forgotten amongst the surrounding suburban sprawl of Southern California.
