Standing in at a towering 630 feet, The Saint Louis Gateway Arch is the largest manmade national monument in the United States. Established in 1935 on the banks of the Mississippi River, the Gateway Arch was created as a National Landmark to honor the westward expansion of the United States. The St. Louis Arch is a symbolic gateway to the west.
