The Los Angeles County Fair was first held in 1922 and is a very popular annual September tradition in Southern California that is held at the Pomona Fairplex. It is the largest county fair in North America. The L.A. County Fair has topped 1 million visitors every year since 1948 except for one year. A typical day at the fair attracts as large of an audience as a busy day at Disneyland.

A major reason why the fair is so popular is because of it's strong roots in traditional american pasttimes and lifestyle. BBQ is grilled on open flames, carnival midway games go on through the night, horse racing, livestock judging, art contests, live music acts, and new exhibits every year is what keeps people coming year after year. The fair represents the ideals of American culture.
