Kentucky's Red River Gorge has one of the country's largest collection of natural arches outside of Utah. The limestone arches attract thousands of tourists and outdoor enthusiasts every year who like to hike to the top of them. A shrine underneath Gray's Arch is dedicated to a young man who slipped to his death years ago is a sobering reminder of the power of nature. Nature doesn't compromise for man.
