In a beautiful display of courtship, the Indian Blue Peacock (Pavo crisatus) ruffles its feathers in an attempt to woo the female peahens. The Los Angeles County Arboretum in Arcadia is famous for its resident peacocks. The pheasants however are a free-roaming group of birds that have migrated to adjacent neighborhoods and in neighboring cities such as Glendora, ten miles to the east.
