Spring Wildflowers at Anza Borrego Desert State Park, California

As the result of a record year of rainfall for Southern California, an amazing display of wildflowers appeared in February at Anza Borrego Desert State Park. In this image the flowers consist of Dune Evening Primrose, Sand Verbena, and Desert Gold Sunflowers. Ironically this display was short lived as these clouds here represent a storm rolling in that damaged the flowers by the following week.
