A funny, or obnoxious thing happened a few minutes before I shot this depending on how you see it. As I was walking on Trail 7, I saw a saw a large group of loud high school students coming down the hillside trail. Walking up next to me was this man in a football jacket, he introduced himself as their teacher. I asked, "Is this for a science class?" "I brought them here for P.E. Once a year, I bring them here in October for a week of jogging." "That's awesome, I wish I had class out here." "Yeah, it is."
With all the commotion going on, I started walking back to my car when I heard a student scream to the teacher, "That guy is carrying a gun!" "He's just taking pictures with a camera." "Oh." Apparently, my impression from my cousin's rural, Iowa wedding about midwesterners not being shutterbugs was true. So much so that I was mistaken for a hunter! Granted, I was dressed in black from beanie to pants, with a green multi-pocketed vest and brown hiking boots, but wow!
