Visiting California’s missions: Which one is your favorite? - SF Gate

My California Missions photos are featured in the SFGate article, “Visiting California’s missions: Which one is your favorite?”

21 of my California Missions photos were featured in an article on SFGate yesterday titled, “Visiting California’s missions: Which one is your favorite?“. SFGate is the website for the San Francisco Chronicle newspaper so it’s a great honor to have been quoted in the article and to have them run my photos.

Though I have photographed all of the California Missions, there are a few that I would like re-visit such as the San Diego Mission because there was a wedding on the day of my visit so I wasn’t able to photograph the chapel.

Greats shots and a wonderful accompanying story. And as the writer notes’ Who knew you could stay at a Mission?’ She also mentions that the Missions are roughly a day removed from one another. I’m assuming that day is measured in footsteps.required. And I’m wondering if anyone has recently walked the course and docunented their experience.

Thanks Richard. Yes, roughly a foot a day refers to when Father Junipero Serra and his followers made this trek by foot as there were no cars back in his day. I believe someone who left a comment within the article mentioned they had done that trek by foot.

Way to go, Richard. I like the Chairs and the Dance from San Juan Capistrano.
