Tool Shed at the Huntington Ranch, San Marino, California

A new experimental garden at The Huntington, The Ranch, opened to the public for an open house last weekend. It looks significantly different than the rest of the botanical gardens because it comprises mostly of native vegetation and habitat. It wasn’t nearly as photogenic as the rest of the gardens but I found the tool shed to be of interest. I’ve always been a fan of the “architectural vignette” style of photos. I just made up that term but basically anything involving doorways, hallways, staircases and windows are all fair game for my camera.

Very nicely done Richard. I agree on what you call ‘architectural vignettes’. Fascinating and endless subject matter. I have a hard time passing them up too.
