Lompoc Flower Fields

Flower Fields, Lompoc, California

Flower Fields, Lompoc, California

I was told that Lompoc had amazing flower fields that would bloom the last week of May. Apparently this wasn’t a good year because of this was the best of the four flowering fields I found while driving all around Lompoc Valley. I mainly saw a lot of dirt and green agricultural fields.

I’ve seen Lompoc in full bloom before. It’s gorgeous when that happens. Still, I really like the image you took, especially the way you direct the viewers eye and how the pink tones on the perimeter of the field tie in with the delicate shades in the clouds.

Thanks Julie. It must have been something special when you went. I was hoping to get some pictures that had the flower fields with the mountains in the background. Maybe next year.
