Samantha and I went apple picking in Oak Glen for the first time yesterday. It’s a big attraction around this time of year so there were lots of people with the same idea as us. Our first stop was the Willowbrook Apple Farm to do some U-pick apple picking. The people at the farm were super-friendly. It was a great experience.

Our next stop was Mom’s Country Orchard, where we browsed the store which was full of interesting items such as their signature jams, jellies, syrups and sauces such as the large jar of habanero mustard that I purchased. It should go well with fish!

Our final stop was Snow-Line Orchard, which is well-known for their apple cider donuts. There was a line out the door for the mini-donuts but it was totally worth the wait. They were the best donuts that I’ve ever had! They were crispy and as fresh as you can get. They make it to order right in front of your face.

There is also another line for apple tasting, of which they had slices of every apple available.

Visiting Oak Glen is a great experience that I highly recommend!

I love places like that. They seem so, I don’t know… sane… connected to the earth… whatever. Well worth a visit I’d say. Love the post Richard.

Thanks PJ. It does feel more down to earth there than in LA for sure. At Snow-Line Orchard, they had live music; a country singer with his guitar. Not Keith Urban country but real country music.

Very nice, Richard…we’ve taken our son up there the last couple of years…it’s very enjoyable!
