Patricia Lake, Jasper National Park, Alberta, Canada

Patricia Lake, Jasper National Park, Alberta, Canada

My mom’s name is Patricia and having seen the road sign for Patricia Lake in Jasper, we decided to pay a visit in the morning before heading back down Icefields Parkway to Banff. We drove there and ended up in the private cottages area by accident which offered no apparent lakeside view. I almost gave up thinking that the whole lake was private when we rounded the corner and saw the lake for the first time. Wow. I know where I will be visiting for sunrise on my next visit. The reflection was perfectly calm for a few minutes after we arrived before giving way to choppy water reflections. I was also able to shoot a few pictures of my mom by the lake on her camera for memories sake.

  1. I have been enjoying your Canada travels and photos, Richard! The stretch along the Icefields Parkway is almost unbelievable in terms of the spectacular scenery. We photographed sunset at this lake after a backpacking trip and it was a great spot.
