San Jacinto Wildlife Area, California

My previous visit to the San Jacinto Wildlife Area was a productive one, but that was in the winter three or four years ago. I feel that a photographer can photograph a place at least three or four times with a fresh perspective so I wanted to see if I could get some of the yellows and reds of autumn in my landscapes this time. The weather was cold, windy and extremely dusty. I had to wear my sunglasses the whole time to keep the sand out of my eyes even after the sun had long gone down like in this photo. But I enjoyed every minute out there in the cold and didn’t care that I’ve been trying to recover from the flu. That’s when you know you are obsessed with landscape photography.

Stunning! Love the colors and all the composition elements and the concept of revisiting.

Beautiful light and well captured Richard. Can’t beat that sky.

Thanks Mark. I kept waiting around after the sun had set and the sky seemingly kept getting better until it got too dark.
