For an informational stock photography resource and blog check out: About the Image.

For what it’s worth in many a professional photographer’s opinion, royalty-free stock photography particularly micro stock businesses are the most evil sector in the business (aka. Shutterstock, Webshots, RF images). If you are giving away your photos away for nothing but pocket change then you are an idiot. Plus you are contributing to the demise of the legitimate stock photography industry. It’s like if U2 were to get paid $1,000 to record an album and never earn a penny from any future sales of the recording.

An adamant defender of ethical photography business practices is Gary Crabbe. He’s a talented, successful California-based photographer who used to work for Galen Rowell’s Mountain Light Photography business. Stop by Gary’s new photo blog as he’s a photographer whom we all can learn from.
