The Mirage Volcano, Las Vegas, Nevada

I just got back from nine days in Las Vegas. Half of the trip was for an internet marketing conference meanwhile the other half had me exploring the amazing sandstone landscapes of Valley of Fire State Park and Red Rock Canyon. I didn’t spend a lot of time photographing The Strip this time because I’d rather just have fun there than worry about schlepping around a tripod everywhere but I had always wanted to photograph The Mirage’s Volcano in action so this was my Friday evening while everyone else on the street was staggering around drunk.
