We spent two nights at Baie-Saint-Paul before returning to Quebec City. I loved this place. What a cute little town! Everything was within walking distance of our hotel. There were a lot of art galleries featuring Quebec artists in this small town. I visited most of the galleries and really had a good time doing so. Check out Martin Beaupre’s work! His pieces were a bit out of my price range but his work deeply resonated with me.
My initial plan was to photograph the Baie-Saint-Paul church lit up at dusk but it didn’t quite come to fruition. I dropped my Lee Big Stopper filter a few minutes after shooting this photo and it shattered on the sidewalk. I heard audible gasps from across the street which basically summed up my emotions. These filters aren’t cheap! Also, the town decided to play a movie on the church lawn that evening too so they didn’t turn the lights on. I’ll have to try again on my next visit.
Hotel La Ferme totally blew me away. I loved the modern architecture and design of the entire complex from the lobby to the hotel room. This place is an architectural masterpiece. The lobby was filled with artwork as well.
