Humboldt Redwoods State Park has some amazing campgrounds. I had never spent any time at Humboldt Redwoods before aside from driving part of the Avenue of the Giants a few years ago so it was quite the surprise to find such an amazing campground surrounded by the world’s tallest trees. We spent the weekend camping at the Burlington Campground which is next to the park’s visitor center. The most adventurous part was an unexpected storm that passed through overnight and soaked my shoes which were just outside of my tent. At least I had sandals and managed to get by. Camping is fun.
