Across the street from where I was photographing a landscape of wildflowers last week, was a working ranch where they were roping cattle, flipping them upside down and branding them. I’ve seen photos of this activity and have seen the sport of roping at the Fort Worth rodeo but this was my first time seeing the real deal. It was interesting to say the least. Maybe I’m a bit crazy but I wouldn’t have minded going into the pen with a wide angle lens to get some in-your-face action pictures.
