Located in the northernmost reaches of the San Francisco Bay Area, California Wine Country is best known for Napa Valley and Sonoma County. Though many wineries tend to be categorized as either Napa or Sonoma, the truth is that there are numerous different distinct wine-growing areas (designed as American Viticural Areas) within the two counties including Dry Creek Valley AVA, Russian River Valley AVA, Alexander Valley AVA, Knights Valley AVA and the world-famous Stag's Leap District AVA which put Wine Country on the map during the 1976 Judgment of Paris wine tasting when the Stag's Leap Wine Cellars Cabernet beat out the french wines.

I've been exploring the region since 2012 when I proposed to my now-wife and explored Oxbow Public Market, the Rhine House at Beringer Vineyards, CIA at Greystone and St. Helena. The following year I relocated to the Bay Area and photographed a Backroads Wine Country Bike Tour. Since then I've returned several times each year to add to my collection of Napa Valley pictures and Sonoma County.

There are currently 12 of my ChromaLuxe prints of Wine Country and the Sonoma Coast on display at The Historic Town of Bodega Art Gallery, formerly known as The Landmark Studio Gallery. Visit the gallery at 17255 Bodega Hwy, Bodega, CA 94922.
