Monument Valley Tribal Park, Arizona

Monument Valley Tribal Park is a breathtaking landscape of sandstone buttes, mesas, and spires that rise up from the desert floor. Located on the Navajo Nation Reservation in the southwest corner of the United States on the border of Arizona and Utah, it is a popular destination for photographers, nature lovers, and tourists alike. With its red rocks and clear blue skies, Monument Valley offers a variety of photographic opportunities, from stunning sunrises and sunsets to dramatic landscapes and unique cultural experiences.

To make the most of your visit to Monument Valley, it's important to plan ahead and be prepared. Here are some tips to help you capture the best possible photographs:

  1. Visit during the golden hours: The best times to photograph Monument Valley are during the golden hours - the hour after sunrise and the hour before sunset. The soft light during these times creates a warm and dramatic effect, giving your photos a magical quality.
  2. Scout out your locations: Take some time to explore the park and identify the best locations for your photographs. Some popular spots include the Mittens, Elephant Butte, and Three Sisters. You can also take a guided tour to learn more about the park's history and culture.
  3. Consider the weather: Monument Valley is located in a desert climate, which means that temperatures can be extreme during the day and drop dramatically at night. Be sure to dress in layers and bring plenty of water to stay hydrated. Also, keep an eye on the weather forecast - storms and high winds can make photography challenging.
  4. Experiment with different angles and perspectives: Don't be afraid to experiment with different angles and perspectives. Try shooting from a low angle to emphasize the size of the rocks, or get up high for a sweeping view of the valley. You can also use foreground elements, such as shrubs and rocks, to add depth and interest to your photos.
  5. Respect the culture: Monument Valley is a sacred place for the Navajo people, and it's important to respect their customs and traditions. Ask for permission before taking photos of people, and be mindful of any signs or restrictions in the park. Remember that you are a guest in their home, and act accordingly.

Museum-Quality: TruLife® Acrylic Face Mount Print - Ready To Hang

Museum-Quality: TruLife® Acrylic Face Mount Print - Ready To Hang

The most luxurious of fine art prints, TruLife® Acrylic face mount prints have a 3d-like appearance due to the print being sandwiched between museum-quality acrylic and a solid backer medium. The paper is specifically made for face mounted prints and features a pearl-like luminescence. When light hits the acrylic, it refracts through the artwork and gives off an appearance of having been illuminated from within. These are the most vibrant and detailed prints I offer. Acrylic prints are best suited for hanging in homes.

I custom sign all individual prints with a digital signature for provenance unless requested otherwise
