Shoulder Season Blues
Banff National Park, Alberta
Moraine Lake and The Valley of the Ten Peaks, Banff National Park, Alberta, Canada
Some locations within the Canadian Rockies such as Moraine Lake can be extremely crowded during the peak travel season months of June - August. Savvy-travelers visit during the shoulder season months (a travel industry term for early spring and late fall) in order to avoid peak tourist visitation. However, due to Banff National Park's latitude and physical location at a relatively high elevation, shoulder season often resembles the winter due to the heavy snowpack and frozen lakes. Though I didn't see the trademark deep blue waters on this visit, I came away with much more unique photos than most visitors as I came during a transitional season with both water and thawing ice / snow.
Silver Halide Fine Art Photo Print - Ready To Frame
Fuji Crystal Archive is a silver halide photo paper which has incredible sharpness and detail. I print on matte surfaces to eliminate glare. There is nothing more distracting than seeing your own reflection while viewing artwork. Each print features a one-inch white border around the live image area to provide maximum flexibility while framing. Loose prints are the ideal choice for interior designers or collectors who plan to work with a professional framer. Beginning in 2019, I will be custom signing all individual prints with a digital signature for provenance unless requested otherwise.
Based on my own experience, I would suggest choosing a UV-protected, non-glare acrylic surface for framing rather than glass. I can either ship directly to you or your framer of choice.
ChromaLuxe Metal Edge Mount - Ready To Hang
Dye-sublimation ChromaLuxe metal prints have excellent contrast and saturation which make for a modern, eye-catching fine art photography print. ChromaLuxe prints are scratch and weather-resistant which make them ideal for high-traffic locations including hospitals, hotels, offices and restaurants. These are the most cost-effective ready-to-hang prints I offer.
My ChromaLuxe metal prints come with a glossy finish featuring vibrant, saturated colors. The edge mount frame is 1.3" thick and comes ready to hang. The back of the print includes my signature backstamp. Beginning in 2019, I will be custom signing all individual prints with a digital signature for provenance unless requested otherwise.
Lumachrome Acrylic Face Mount - Ready To Hang
The ultimate in luxury fine art printmaking today. Lumachrome HD Acrylic face mounts are the most visually-stunning type of prints that you can own. The finest details appear to emerge in 3D from the depths of the photo with the Lumachrome process thanks to the transparency layer that is infused with iridium particles (one of the rarest metals found on Earth) and is captured in a layer suspended between the white poly surface and museum-grade TruView acrylic. The resulting print almost appears as if it is backlit. Beginning in 2019, I will be custom signing all individual prints with a digital signature for provenance unless requested otherwise.
This ready-to-hang print includes a 1/8" acrylic face mount with a 6mm or 12mm Comatex backing and an HD Italian ROMA back mounted floating frame.
Framed Lumachrome HD Acrylic Face Mount - Ready To Hang
Lumachrome HD acrylic face mount prints are eye-catching as is but with a luxury frame it really draws the viewer's eye into the artwork. This hand-crafted Italian frame features a 4" moulding with 3" linen liner. A framed 24x36" Lumachrome print for example measures in at an awe-inspiring 38x50". Frames are available in several colors (Cigar Leaf shown here). Linen liners are available in several colors (black shown here). Beginning in 2019, I will be custom signing all individual prints with a digital signature for provenance unless requested otherwise.
