The Butchart Gardens Photo
Vancouver Island, BC
Sunken Garden Overlook at the Butchart Gardens, Brentwood Bay, Vancouver Island, B.C.
Featuring 55 acres of floral show gardens, the Butchart Gardens was designed a National Historic Site of Canada in 2004. The Garden itself was originally designed by Jennie Butchart in the early 1900's as part of their private residence. The stunning beauty of the Butchart Gardens attracted so many visitors that it eventually became a famous attraction and opened to the public of which more than 1 million visitors per year currently visit.
I first visited the Butchart Gardens as a six-year-old child with my parents. The beauty struck a deep chord within me and left a lasting impression. I've since returned on two other occasions as an adult to photograph the gardens. When I think of beautiful gardens the list begins and ends with The Butchart Gardens.

Lumachrome Acrylic Face Mount - Ready To Hang
The ultimate in luxury fine art printmaking today. Lumachrome HD Acrylic face mounts are the most visually-stunning type of prints that you can own. The finest details appear to emerge in 3D from the depths of the photo with the Lumachrome process thanks to the transparency layer that is infused with iridium particles (one of the rarest metals found on Earth) and is captured in a layer suspended between the white poly surface and non-glare TruView acrylic. The resulting print almost appears as if it is backlit. Beginning in 2019, I will be custom signing all individual prints with a digital signature for provenance unless requested otherwise.
This ready-to-hang print includes a 1/8" acrylic face mount with a 6mm or 12mm Comatex backing and an HD Italian ROMA back mounted floating frame.
Premium Framed Metal Print - Ready to Hang
Fuji Crystal Archive Maxima silver halide prints are protected with a UV matte laminate then mounted on aluminum DiBond which provide a sturdy backing for the print while keeping the weight low. Maxima prints have 10% more print density for richer blacks and 21% more color space volume for a broader range of saturated colors. The matte surface eliminates distracting glare and reflections allowing the viewer to focus on the artwork. This type of print is much higher quality than dye sublimation metal prints which have less sharpness and color accuracy. The photo print on aluminum backing is then framed with a 2.8" premium Italian frame that is hand-crafted by artisans from the birthplace of the Renaissance. The resulting artwork is truly a sight to behold as this framing technique is cutting-edge and one of the highest-quality ways to display art today.
Premium Italian frames are available in three colors: anthracite, tobacco (pictured) and walnut. Note the additional height and width that the 2.8" frame adds to the final dimensions. For example, a framed 40" x 60" inch masterpiece print would come out to approximately 45.4" x 65.4" inches. Beginning in 2019, I will be custom signing all individual prints with a digital signature for provenance unless requested otherwise.
Silver Halide Fine Art Photo Print - Ready To Frame
Fuji Crystal Archive is a silver halide photo paper which has incredible sharpness and detail. I print on matte surfaces to eliminate glare. There is nothing more distracting than seeing your own reflection while viewing artwork. Each print features a one-inch white border around the live image area to provide maximum flexibility while framing. Loose prints are the ideal choice for interior designers or collectors who plan to work with a professional framer. Beginning in 2019, I will be custom signing all individual prints with a digital signature for provenance unless requested otherwise.
Based on my own experience, I would suggest choosing a UV-protected, non-glare acrylic surface for framing rather than glass. I can either ship directly to you or your framer of choice.
